Find Your Paradise With A Smart Bathroom Remodel

With HGTV garnering more support and viewership every day, the interest in remodeling and renovating has increased -- in fact, the renovation and repair industry currently equals around $326 billion. Whether you've purchased a fixer-upper in desperate need of repair or are simply looking to update an outdated space, the channel can offer you tips, tricks, design inspiration, and even help you find remodeling contractors. However, if you're looking to remodel your bathroom specifically, there's something in the works that HGTV isn't talking about -- at least, not yet.

Where No Smart Technology Has Gone Before
Kohler recently announced its focus on bringing smart technology into the bathroom and has already begun work on the impressive technological endeavor. Kohler Konnect features voice-enabled tech that is connected to every single fixture in your bathroom -- mirrors, sinks, showers, toilets, and bathtubs. Like all smart features before it, the product aims to make like that much easier by taking care of your needs with almost no effort on your end. Showers are pre-programmed to certain intensities and temperatures, toilets have touchless flushing and heated seats, mirrors have self-adjusting ambient lighting, and bathtubs have auto-fill features. It may sound a little ridiculous and unnecessary, but you'll change your mind after you watch the stunning advertisement Kohler released for the system.

Remodeling your bathroom no longer needs to be about tearing down walls and installing a more modern look. Now, new home construction could include the use of bathroom remodeling experts fluent in smart technology. The tech will need to be incredibly durable (and definitely water resistant), and will most likely need a trained hand in the beginning for easy install, but who knows how long it will take for advancements to take us beyond even this remarkable technology.

The Wait Will Be Worth It
Kohler has not revealed a release date for these space age products yet, but they are offering to keep those interested up to date. So, while you're currently ripping out that ghastly toilet from 1967 in an effort to remodel your bathroom, think about the future. While you're painting over that garish Pepto-Bismol-colored wall, think about how nice it will be to have a toilet that warms your feet when you get up to use it in the middle of the night.

The wait will undoubtedly be worth it, we just need to have a little patience.
